Welcome to Black Cactus Cafe, a charming gem nestled at 4 Greyhound Yard in the heart of Blandford Forum. This delightful cafe offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly blends friendly service with a menu full of tasty treasures, making it an ideal spot for friends to gather or for individuals seeking a cozy retreat.

As you step inside, you are greeted by a comforting warmth that encapsulates the essence of this local favorite. The engaging chatter among customers combined with attentive, super-friendly staff creates an inviting vibe that beckons you to sit back, relax, and indulge. It’s a place where the ambiance is just as delightful as the menu, a sentiment echoed by loyal customers like Becky F, who describes it as her favorite place and a perfect meeting point with friends.

Black Cactus Cafe prides itself on an impressive menu that caters to a variety of tastes. Treat yourself to their signature toasties, which are perfect for a quick, satisfying lunch. Pair that with one of their mouthwatering milkshakes, like the rich and decadent Chocolate Brownie or the imaginative Mint Aero with chocolate sauce. For something extra special, try the Biscoff milkshake topped with whipped cream and Snickers pieces that promises to be a heavenly indulgence. Their offerings also include a delightful selection of chai lattes, iced lattes, and traditional teas, giving you a comforting beverage to enjoy at any time of day.

But the experience doesn’t stop at food; the cafe's commitment to inclusivity stands out, especially for characters like Harry Brown, who finds solace and comfort in the welcoming atmosphere tailored for everyone, including those with special needs. The supportive staff ensures that each visit is accompanied by an exceptional level of service, aiming to make everyone feel right at home.

Additionally, the cafe is a perfect stop for those exploring the National Cycleway Route 25. Cathryn Setz recommends it as a peaceful rest stop, particularly for indulging in their exquisite apple cake, which serves as the ideal fuel for cyclists.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Black Cactus Cafe promises you a delightful experience with every visit. The combination of fresh, quality food, a plethora of vegan options (illustrated by Hayley Gardner's rave about the vegan pastrami toastie), and a warm, welcoming atmosphere ensures that you’ll leave with a smile—and perhaps a new favorite spot in your heart. Don’t miss this wonderful cafe in Blandford; your taste buds will thank you!

I love Black Cactus. It’s a regular meeting point for my friend and I who live a distance from each other. The staff are super friendly, customers chatty, environment is warm in both temperature and vibe. Perfect cosy spot and my favourite place in Blandford. Keep up the good work guys and your were right, the brownie warmed was a perfect new year chocolatey treat.

My favourite spot in Blandford. Welcoming atmosphere and helpful staff. Although a bit more expensive than some cafes it is well worth it as the food always tastes fresh and perfectly cooked. Also great gluten free and vegan options... Highly recommend.

I visit here about 4 times a week and I love it. The staff are all so friendly and accommodating and I've never had a bad experience visiting for coffee, cake or a toastie. As someone with quite high level autism this is one of only a few places that I have felt happy and comfortable enough to Go to and spend time at by myself.I would highly recommend this cafe to everyone who wants good affordable food and drink in a friendly environment!!

Delicious cake and coffee - this is an ideal rest stop on the National Cycleway Route 25 between Bournemouth and Bath. Highly recommend the apple cake to power those pedals! Lovely staff and peaceful riverside spot.

Wonderful coffee and food. I come from a larger town so I’m spoilt for choice with cafes. While I was visiting Blandford, I discovered this gem of a cafe and was not disappointed. Blandford is lucky to have them :)

I had an exceptional experience at the Black Cactus Cafe. I found a cute table to work from this morning. Was glad to find them via the Happy Cow app, they have an excellent range of vegan food. I started with an oat latte and had a vegan pastrami toastie for lunch, followed by a biscoff milkshake that were all absolutely delicious. Its so hard to find a vegan milkshake. The customer service was outstanding despite the busy environment. I noticed the staff were attentive, helpful, and took the time to explain everything not only to me but to each customer. A special shoutout to them for making mine and my dogs visit a great one. Highly recommend to everyone visiting the area. Sorry I enjoyed the food so much I forgot to take proper photos.
